Aidan is the Director of Kirkpatrick Consult Limited, an established IT consultancy based in Ely, Cambridgeshire, UK and Palma de Mallorca, ES working with clients across the UK and internationally. He founded the business in 2007 and has spent the last two decades helping organisations untangle technology, streamline operations, and make systems work for people, not the other way around.

With over 20 years’ experience in IT consultancy, software development, and education, Aidan specialises in practical, scalable solutions across Microsoft 365, Dynamics 365, Salesforce, cloud platforms, and bespoke system integrations. He’s particularly fond of automating away repetitive tasks—largely because he believes computers should do the boring bits, not humans.

Aidan holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (Hons) and later achieved Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), giving him a rare blend of technical depth and an educator’s instinct for clarity. This combination allows him to bridge the gap between complex technology and real‑world business needs—without the jargon (unless absolutely necessary).

He regularly shares practical guidance on digital transformation and business systems, particularly around Microsoft Dynamics 365 and cloud technologies, always with a focus on measurable value rather than shiny features.

When he’s not designing systems or solving awkward technical problems, Aidan enjoys swimming, sailing, playing the guitar, making music and tinkering with tech. His current favourite song is Wanderlust, which may or may not be played far too loudly while working through a complicated integration.
